Please join us on March 3, 2026 for a virtual training with Christina Cook and Adam Lyons from 12-1pm CT!
Through their personal recovery journeys, Christina Cook and Adam Lyons will share their own unfiltered stories. They will will also discuss how to utilize the Evive app as a practical tool for support, reflection, and connection, offering insight into how digital resources can reduce stigma and strengthen prevention and recovery efforts.
Attendees will gain practical takeaways on how to support individuals impacted by problem gambling, including supportive approaches and ways to connect people to appropriate resources.
Objectives:
By the end of this session, attendees will be able to:
- Describe how problem gambling can develop and show up in real life through personal lived experience stories, including common turning points, barriers to seeking help, and what “support” actually feels like from the inside.
- Identify practical, stigma-reducing ways to support someone impacted by problem gambling (directly or as an affected other), including language to use, language to avoid, and how to connect people to appropriate resources.
- Apply key takeaways from our story to strengthen prevention, referral pathways, and recovery support in their own role (clinical, peer, workplace, community, or personal).
